President/CEO

A graduate of Grand Canyon University, Barry is President of the Sun Cornerstone Group. As a Chartered Life Underwriter® and as an Accredited Estate Planner®, his business focus is on assisting individuals through estate and financial planning. With more than 40 years of experience in the financial services profession, Barry enjoys assisting clients to establish financial goals and objectives, and to plan toward their ultimate fulfillment. He has served as President of both the local and state NAIFA Associations and the General Agent’s and Manager’s Association. Barry is a qualifying and life member of the Million Dollar Round Table and qualified for Top of the Table for 2006. He has been honored with the Spirit of Philanthropy Award from the Association of Fund Raising Professionals, and holds the Governor Howard Pyle Award for his more than 26 years of volunteer time with the youth at Canyon State Academy.

In his free time, Barry enjoys rebuilding vintage motorcycles, boating, water and snow skiing, and golf. His true passions include serving the needs of the hungry, challenges that face our youth, and excellence in health care for the sick and injured.

 NAIFA-1991 Robert L. Rose Award for Excellence in Agent Education
This award is given annually to a NAIFA Programs Chairman for their service in booking and planning membership meetings and educational programming.

This award is given in recognition of professionalism, service and dedication to the Phoenix Association of Life Underwriters (PALU) organization.

NAIFA – 1995 Association Achievement Award (as President)
The Association Achievement Award (AAA) is given annually to local associations who achieve excellence in the areas of -Member Benefits, Membership Recruitment & Retention, Advocacy, Governance and Programs, Local associations may apply for the award each year and must complete an application with supporting data.

PALU-1995 Jack E. Bobo Award for Contributions to Industry and Community
The award recognizes associations in the NAIFA federation that excel in areas critical to their success and growth over a one-year period. Those areas are professional development, advocacy, membership, and governance.

NAIFA Arizona 2009 Advisor of the Year
This award is given to the local association, in Arizona, that has demonstrated overall achievement during the most recent association year. Nominees must be living, and actively engaged in one or more of the following: life/health, multi-line investments, and /or the financial planning business. He /She must be an active agent, general agent, manager, brokerage director, registered representative, or financial planner. Production, active membership, education, and community service are factor s for which the award is considered.
